Robb Report – Brun del Ré Cigars

FrontRunners: Smoke Kin

Carlo Corazzo’s ancestors, from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy, began trading in Cuban cigars some 200 years ago. In tribute to his predecessors, Corazzo christened his Costa Rican cigar shop’s in-house brand after the former family name: Brun del Ré. In May, the 10-year-old Mundo de los Puros store and cigar lounge released the Brun del Ré Premium (www.brundelrecigars.com), a delicate, smooth smoke that comprises an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan filler, and Indonesian binder. The Premium, one of four cigars in the Brun del Ré line, retails for about $11 per stick and is available in Churchill, torpedo, robusto, and corona sizes.
